The Chicago Testing Center is located 10 miles southwest of O'Hare Airport in Stratford Square Mall, a fully-enclosed super regional center. This 180-store mall is anchored by Sears, JCPenney, Macy's, Carson Pirie Scott and Kohl's, drawing respondents of all socioeconomic levels in the western suburbs of Chicago (10% Black).

The Testing Center office is located just inside the Southwest Entrance next to Macy's. In this location, face-to-face interviews, focus groups, pre-recruits, WATS and local telephone studies, taste tests and simulated store projects are completed. Also fielded from this facility are in-store, audit and mystery shop projects, executive and door-to-door interviews. The interviewing staff conducts all the above studies with paper an pencil as well as on PCs or laptops.

This Testing Center features:

• Color video camera with 1/2" recording & studio standard audio equipment

• 10 Flexible interviewing booths with portable CRT stations

• 15 Multimedia networked PCs for internet interviewing

• 9 Private interviewing / video / CRT rooms

• Simulated store area

• Fully equipped test kitchen (extra freezer, double oven and microwave)

• 12 Central telephone lines covering the Chicago SMSA

• 9 WATS lines with 4+ CRT stations covering the state and nation.
