The Los Angeles Testing Center is located in the South Bay Galleria Shopping Center, a fully-enclosed regional mall just southwest of the city and 6 miles south of Los Angeles International Airport.  This 185-store, 3-level mall is anchored by Macy's, Nordstrom and Mervyn's. It draws low-middle to upper residents from the city, the beach communities and the surrounding suburban areas, including 20% Black, 15% Hispanic and 5% Asian, with virtually no tourist traffic. The CPResearch facility is located at a major entrance from the parking deck on the second floor.

The CPResearch Testing Center can accommodate oversize exhibits, multiple groups, large pre-recruits and taste tests, private commercial testing and simulated store studies. All types of fieldwork -- WATS and local telephone, executive and in-store projects, door-to-doors, audits and mystery shops -- are handled from this office as well. All are completed either with paper and pencil or using PCs or laptops.

This Testing Center features:

• 3 viewing rooms that seat 10, 12 and 18, with two 10- and one 16-foot mirrors

• Concurrent viewing of 2 focus group rooms

• Separate respondent and client entrances

• Color video camera with 1/2" recording & studio standard audio equipment

• 9 Flexible interviewing booths with portable CRT stations

• 10 Multimedia networked PCs for internet interviewing

• 2 Private video rooms

• Simulated store area

• Fully equipped kitchen (2 freezers, ovens and microwave), with 10- & 12-foot mirrors

• 20 Central telephone lines

• 20 WATS lines with 12+ CRT stations covering the state and nation
